Murabaha Contract
Murabaha is a particular kind of sale, where the Seller (normally the Bank) expressly mentions the cost of assets (e.g. commodity / raw material / machinery / fixed assets);
Tenure, eligibility & collateral
Murabaha is a Shariah-compliant cost-plus-profit sale arrangement where the Bank purchases assets (commodity, raw material, machinery, or fixed assets) on behalf of the customer and resells them at a declared cost plus an agreed profit margin. It is not a loan given on interest but a genuine sale of assets for either cash or deferred payment, with a tenure of one year, negotiable based on business nature.
A financing option listed in the bank’s corporate range. Discuss your business requirements and the available arrangement with the team.

Diminishing Musharaka (Musharaka Mutanaqisah) from Ghazanfar Bank is a Shariah-compliant financing facility based on a declining co-ownership partnership. The bank and the customer jointly purchase the asset; the customer pays rent on the bank's share and periodically buys out the bank's units until full ownership is transferred - with no interest (riba) involved.
Product information
Under Diminishing Musharaka, Ghazanfar Bank and the customer jointly own the asset, each contributing an agreed share of its value. The customer pays rent (Ijarah) for using the bank's portion and, alongside the rent, periodically purchases units of the bank's share. As the customer's ownership grows, the bank's share - and the rent payable - diminishes, until the customer owns the asset outright. This makes it a fully Shariah-compliant alternative to a conventional mortgage.
Ideally any seller of goods/services would like to receive payment before the delivery of goods/services to a buyer. Similarly the buyer would also like to ensure that the goods/services bought are as per his specifications and deliveries are affected in time, before parting with the money.
Product information
A Letter of Credit is a Ghazanfar Bank-issued instrument based on Wakala, and it is a written that bridges the trust gap between buyer and seller in trade transactions — guaranteeing payment to the seller upon presentation of compliant documents while assuring the buyer that goods/services meet agreed specifications. Issued at the request of the buyer (applicant) in favour of the seller (beneficiary), involving key parties such as the LC opening bank, advising bank, confirming bank, and negotiating bank, Ghazanfar Bank issues and accepts all kinds of LC in full compliance with Shariah principles, UCP 600 international standards.
The published requirements include a certified business licence, owners’ and guarantors’ Tazkira or passport copies, financial statements and a company profile. The bank may request additional documents.
