In June 2022, Ghazanfar Bank announced that it had joined the SME Finance Forum’s global membership network. The announcement identifies it as the first bank from Afghanistan to become a member.
The bank described opportunities to exchange experience, explore approaches to asset-based lending and build relationships with other institutions working with small and medium enterprises.
Established in 2012 by the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion and managed by IFC, the forum brings together institutions to share knowledge about SME finance.
